Signs of a blocked drain
The early warning signs are easy to miss until the problem gets worse. Keep an eye out for water draining slowly from a sink, shower or bath, gurgling sounds from the drains or toilet, bad smells coming up from the plughole or gully, a toilet that is slow to clear or rises and falls oddly when flushed, and in the worst cases waste water surfacing in the yard.
